Called to strengthen people.
George Izunwa is called, anointed, and commissioned to "teach God's people strength." That calling shapes everything he builds, from a church and a mentoring outreach to a foundation and a growing body of teaching and writing, all aimed at the same end: people who are stronger in faith, character, and purpose.
As founder and Lead Pastor of Gateway International Church, he has built a Spirit-filled congregation in Port Harcourt that has grown into more than 50 campuses nationally and internationally, including branches in Doha, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Through the Impact Ministers Network and the Impact Ministers Mentoring Outreach (IMMO), he mentors ministers and emerging leaders across denominations, raising leaders who go on to raise others.
His teaching finds further reach through books and written resources, communicating conviction and practical wisdom to readers beyond the walls of any one church.
George Izunwa leads alongside his wife, with whom he co-founded the George Izunwa Foundation, a shared commitment to service that extends the family's ministry into the community.
Beyond the pulpit, he is committed to transformative outreach through the George Izunwa Foundation, delivering free medical missions, scholarships, and community support since 2016.
